[Revision Quizzes] Quiz A

Hey y'all!

Starting today, I'll have a mini-series of blogposts on Revision Quizzes (ta-da!)

A quiz will be posted every Monday and Thursday for the next 3 weeks to help N21s revising for their exams.

Each quiz should take about 50 minutes to complete if you really know your stuff.  Together these quizzes will cover all the topics of the course.

Why revision quizzes?

Questions are not organised by topics. This is intentional - the distinction between a 5 and a 7 lies in your ability to recognise what the question is asking and what do you need to do to get there. Answers, not solutions, are provided.

These are written in the same style as Section A, albeit a bit long. A section B-style question is simply many section A questions put together, ideally with a significant link between the parts.

You are advised to spend no more than 7 minutes on each question.

Some are easy, some are hard. Some are shorter, some are longer. I've tried to keep them quite similar in length.

How to use the quizzes?

Since we're preparing for the exam, it's good practice to spot the easy questions, get those sweet marks, before tackling the rest of the quiz. Any mark you dropped from the easy questions is a mark you'll have to get on the horrendous questions at the end of the paper. Remember that whenever you're doing a past paper.

Don't do everything in one shot, but do them as I post to take advantage of the benefits of spaced repetition.

4 quizzes will be posted for AASL and 2 quizzes will be posted for AAHL, with a very strong emphasis on the HL content. AAHL students are encouraged to do all the quizzes.

Here's the link to the first quiz:

Good luck and have fun!

Andrew

NB: There will inevitably be mistakes in this booklet. I take full responsibility for any errors that you see.
