This is the last calculus test of the entire series of test - Further Calculus. 4 questions on Maclaurin series, 4 questions on differential equations - all questions are moderately challenging for the strongest attainers. Hiya! I've been doing this for WAY too long - this is the first test of the Unit Test v2.5 series.  Today's tests are relatively calm. Basic calculus. Shouldn't be too bad right? Right? We'll start off with differentiation, then a bit of integration, then both. [AAHL] Further Calculus (Unit Test v2.4)

Hiya! In the run up to exams, it's time to lock in and prepare for your finals coming in 2 months. Today we'll have a unit test on Maclaurin and differential equations. The test contains four questions on each section, covering all the major concepts you need to know to ace the exams. There will be a question on each of the three types of first order differential equations that you're responsible for, as well as various ways to obtain Maclaurin series. Hiya! This marks the start of Unit Test v2.4! We'll kick off the series with a relatively straightforward test: Introduction to Calculus. This test contains questions on basic differentiation and integration, limited to power functions. Questions on tangents and normals are also included, as well as initial value problems and various applications. Hello hello hello! You may have wondered where have I been in the last month. June was pretty busy for me, especially in the first half of the month. Also I've been thinking about revamping the trigonometry units, making sure that every one of you can easily solve most trig equations on your exams, so that's taking up some time as well. Now I'm back with a unit test on Further Calculus, covering Maclaurin series and differential equations. These topics are not inherently challenging but it'll poke all the holes in your differential and integral calculus. Hey there kiddos! M24 exam series is just over. I had a look at the papers and frankly, if you've been studying hard and using all the resources I have to offer I'd say you can land a 7 without too much effort. I am now back with the second part of the calculus trio - Integration. For best results, AAHL students need to take both the SL and the HL papers. I personally think there's too much stuff that a single paper for HL wouldn't do it justice, though the test is just 30 minutes longer than the differentiation one. Hello hello hello! I took quite a chonky break from posting on this site. Mostly because I didn't have time to write tests and such throughout the term, and also because last semester was particularly taxing mentally and physically. In the mean time though, I've cooked up a revised version for the list of assessments for AA students. The biggest difference though: a change in the grading scheme. Instead of your good ol reliable A/E system, we now divide the category into 5 - N1, A2, A3, E4, E5. More details can be found in the MS. Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 It's hard to write when you're not really in the mood. I'm done with some of my finals. Two more to go - I think I'm somewhat prepared but can't wait to be proven wrong. Definitely running short of papers to share with y'all, but that's alright because I still have spares! This marks the end of the unit tests for AAHL. It's been quite a ride. This test is on 1st order differential equations and Maclaurin series. The format is slightly different - you have all the questions on the same page and 5 pages to answer the questions, similar to your section B-style questions. [AIHL][AASL][AAHL] Calculus - Part 2 - Further differentiation rules

Hewwo! DP2 has already started for most of you and lots of you are probably on prob/stats or integration.  I figured this is the perfect time to post about... further differentiation rules, because everyone loves a refresher on stuff they hate the most (but also very important). This material was written with a CEGEP/U0 student in mind, so the calculus standards would be a lot higher than AASL or even AIHL. Since I'm making this for a student I'm tutoring atm, I think it would be useful to y'all as well. If you plan to pursue a degree in physical sciences or engineering, this is the level of calculus that would normally be taught in most calculus 1 courses in North America. Content  - chain rule, product rule, quotient rule, derivatives of sinusoidal, exponential and logarithmic functions. [AIHL] Tuesday Tests: AIHL Differentiation and Integration

Here are two  tests on AIHL Differentiation and Integration with MS! Although it seems like I've neglected you guys since I keep throwing stuff out about AA courses, you're still on the back of my mind. Writing these tests are quite tricky because I'm always playing on the edge - a creative spin can throw a question out of the syllabus. Usual TOCs apply. Credit to AdventurousAndrew#7499.

[AAHL][AASL] Differentiation Unit Test

Here's a test I've written on AASL and AAHL Differentiation. The AASL test should take you an hour and the AAHL extension for AAHL students should take you about 30 minutes. Note that AAHL students will take both tests, though ideally at different times, to complete the Differentiation module in their course. The usual TOCs:  You must pass each module to be considered "passing" the test. Give yourself an 'a' when you answered a question in the "Achieved" column correctly. Give yourself an 'e' when you answered a question in the "Excellence" column correctly. Count the number of 'a'(s) and 'e'(s) you have obtained in the section  and compare it to the cutoffs for Achieved (A) and Excellence (E) for that module.  Then count the As and Es you have achieved on the test and compare it to the rough conversion (in the box on the very first page) to get my rough estimate of your final IB grade. Here's a test I've written on AASL Integration. Give yourself an hour to take this test and mark yourself against the mark scheme. Good luck! NB:   You may notice that the majority of questions showed up on the AAHL test. This is a deliberate decision, as I expect all AAHL students have a solid grasp of AASL topics. It also makes my life a lot easier when I don't have to recreate the test questions and their mark schemes because students are only allowed to take one (1) maths course in their IB DP.
